January 31, 2012
Richard Carlton Consulting, Inc. (RCC) is proud to announce the immediate availability of more localized versions of FileMaker Starting Point. FMSP in Danish, Dutch, Italian, Japanese, and Swedish are live and ready to be downloaded at http://fmstartingpoint.com/languages/localization.html.
“Our previously released versions of localized copies of FMSP are quickly becoming more and more popular,” says Richard Carlton, CEO of RCC. “We have high expectations about the increasing popularity of these newly released versions, as well.”
Alejandro Gidi, a Localized FMSP user states this about the product, “We are very happy and pleased with FM Starting Point. It enabled us to literally jump-start a project. The solution is running about 20,000 records at the moment, and we’re adding around 1,000 more per day. Thanks for a great product at an affordable price. Congratulations and keep up the good work!”
“With over 150,000 downloads, FMSP for English has been a hugely successful solution, and we wanted to bring this fantastic tool to FileMaker users from other linguistic backgrounds, within and outside of the United States,” adds Richard Carlton, CEO of RCC. “Our English version has always been completely free and unlocked; however, RCC has retained translation professionals to advise and assist in our conversion.”
Due to the added cost of localization, the price for a localized version of FMSP is $99. Upon purchasing the solution, there will be no “hidden” fees associated. The purchaser will be able to customize her/his own solution without any restrictions and be able to deploy it to an unlimited number of users.
FileMaker Starting Point is made to run on the FileMaker®1 platform. Users will still be required to purchase FileMaker Pro or FileMaker Go as her/his needs dictate. A demo version of FileMaker Pro is available at www.filemakertrial.com. A free trial version of FMSP in Italian is available, as well, through RCC to allow users a test drive before they purchase the application.
Adam Russ, project manager of the Localization Project, states, “The Localization effort is quickly coming to close with the release of the Danish, Dutch, Italian, Japanese, and Swedish. Our last language to be released is Chinese (Simplified). We are currently working on the translation end of that and will be releasing it in the near future.”
